Artist Alain Vaes uses painting to depict narratives inspired by his French heritage and diverse artistic talents. 

He studied at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Montpellier and the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs in Nice.


Vaes's artworks are held in prestigious collections including that of the French Government. He has exhibited in galleries in Paris and Honfleur, showcasing his distinctive style and cultural influences. His creative endeavors extend to publishing with Little, Brown and Company. Additionally, Vaes has designed sets and costumes for over twenty-five productions, notably for the New York City Ballet, Boston Ballet, Fort Worth-Dallas Ballet, National Ballet of Flanders, and others. His artistic versatility has been recognized in exhibitions at esteemed institutions such as the Pierpont Morgan Library, Art Institute of Chicago, Norman Rockwell Museum, and the Fort Worth Art Museum, among others.


Presently, Vaes continues to exhibit his work widely, including at venues like the George Adams Gallery and RJD Gallery in New York, reflecting his ongoing dedication to visual storytelling through painting.
