Kazaan Viveiros

Artist Kazaan Viveiros uses painting as a medium to explore themes of nature and spirituality. 

She earned a BA with distinction from the University of Virginia in Studio Art and Religious Studies, and an MFA from the San Francisco Art Institute. Her work is in the collections of eBay, Marriott International, Capital One Bank, and private collections such as that of author Danielle Steel. Viveiros’s diptych, The Whale, is displayed in Banner Children’s Hospital and her paintings are also featured in Summit Health Cancer Center in New Jersey. Additionally, her artworks are permanently installed in the U.S. Embassy in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, through the Art in Embassies Program.


Viveiros received an Individual Artist Fellowship from the New Jersey State Council on the Arts in 2022 and was a semi-finalist for the 2011 Bethesda Painting Awards. She has been a visiting artist at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria, VA, and an artist-in-residence at Weir Farm in Wilton, CT. In 2015, she became a Fellow at the Virginia Center for Creative Arts.


Presently, she is a member of the artist collective Steamroller Group in the Delaware River Valley, where she collaborates with three other artists on innovative projects.
