Angela Franks Wells uses 19th-century photographic processes to explore playful investigation and levity in her art.
As an Associate Professor of Photography at East Carolina University since 2011, she fosters creative thinking and skilled making among her students. Angela earned her BA in Studio Art and Psychology from Scripps College, CA in 2000, and her MFA from Arizona State University in 2006. Her work reflects a passion for the lush landscapes of the South, stormy weather, and the natural humidity that influences her studio practice.
