Luisa Adelfio uses sculpture and painting to explore cultural memory and the individual's transcendence from the material to the spiritual world.
Central to her work is the imagery of the moon, water, and nature. Adelfio received a BA at Wellesley College. She earned her Masters in Fine Arts and Art History from Accademia di Belle Arti, Italy. Her work is in the collections of private and institutional collectors around the world, including in the United States, Europe, and South America. Presently, she is based in Norfolk, VA, and Palermo, Italy, where she continues to exhibit.
