Will Berry uses abstracted paintings and prints to explore the history, culture, and sites of the various cities he has resided, such as New York, Provence, Oaxaca, and Mexico City.
His paintings, and his monotype over aquatint prints, explore the landscapes and . In his most recent series, Berry works with metals, including lead, aluminum, and gold, using them as pigments that he brushes onto linen canvases to form delicate designs. His work is in the collections of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Vanderbilt University Law School, and the Museo Nacional de la Estampa in Mexico City. Presently, he is living and working in Mexico City where he draws inspiration from his vibrant community.
