Peter Cochrane uses metal and horticultural sculpture, digital imaging, and experimental darkroom photography to depict stories of resilience and metamorphosis.
Cochrane explores fundamental questions of human existence and cosmic time by building elaborate narrative set pieces. Cochrane received his BA from San Francisco University and his MFA from Virginia Commonwealth University. His work has been featured in The San Francisco Chronicle, Headmaster, the de Young Museum, the Vermont Center for Photography, and the Tokyo International Photo Awards. Presently, he is the owner of Threep, a fine art photography and printmaking studio based in Richmond, Virginia.
