David Douglas works at the intersection of drawing, painting and photography to create large-scale works that explore the power of place.
Douglas received a BA from Virginia Intermont College and earned his Masters in Fine Arts in Painting from James Madison University in 1984. His work is in the collections of the Chrysler Museum of Art, The Washington Post, and the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, among others. Presently, he teaches painting, drawing, and photography at Episcopal High School, a boarding school in Alexandria, Virginia.
