Sarah Irvin uses visual art to explore themes of reproduction and parenting.
Irvin has been featured in more than twenty solo shows and over fifty group exhibitions across the United States and abroad. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia and a Master of Fine Arts from George Mason University. Her work is in the collections of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Capital One, the Federal Reserve Bank, Quirk Hotel, and the University of Richmond, among others. She has exhibited at the Taubman Museum of Art and the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. In addition to her studio work, Irvin is an independent curator and the founder of the Artist Parent Index, a searchable database of artists creating work about their experiences with reproduction and caregiving. Presently, she is represented by Kathryn Markel Fine Arts and Massey Klein Gallery in New York City.
