Tim O’Kane uses still life painting to explore the potential of ordinary objects and the elements of painting and design.
O’Kane earned his BFA from VCUarts and studied under George Solonevich at the Blue Ridge Art School. O’Kane has earned numerous awards including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowship and the Virginia Commission for the Arts Individual Grant. His works are in the collections of the Chrysler Museum, Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies, and the Hirsh and Bedner law firm in Santa Monica, California.
