Ruby Palmer uses various mediums including work on paper, painting, sculpture, installation, and wood constructions to explore spatial relationships and architectural elements.

She received a BA in Painting and Drawing from Hampshire College and expanded her practice to include sculpture and installation during her MFA studies at the School of Visual Arts. Palmer was awarded a Joan Mitchell Foundation Grant for Painters and Sculptors. Her work has been exhibited extensively, including shows at Morgan Lehman Gallery, Turley Gallery, Albany International Airport, Opalka Gallery, and many others. Her pieces are held in private collections and corporate collections such as Fidelity Bank, Morgan Stanley, and Capital Group. Palmer has been featured in interviews with Art Spiel and her installations have garnered critical attention, with reviews in The Albany Times Union, Daily Gazette, Roll Magazine, and ArtForum. Her site-specific installations have been highlighted in The New York Times. Presently, Ruby Palmer resides in Rhinecliff, NY, with her husband and twin daughters, continuing to innovate within the realm of spatial art and installation.
